My Library


My Library is the Web library system. If you register as a user , you can have your own page in library homepage and use a lot of useful function for study or research.

You can also login from the icon in the library top page or "My Library" link in OPAC searching page.

■Undergraduate students・Postgraduate students : It is the same your a-net ID and password.

■Staff personnel : It is the same your AU-CIS(Akita University Campus Information System) ID and password.

■Undergraduate students・Postgraduate students Please apply to My Library by the following way.
  ①Input for register form and submit. (Access from the PC in the campus.)

・Notices from the library

What’s new


・If you register keywords before, it will show materials about the keywords for you when the materials become book stocks. You can quickly get information about materials of fields you interested in.

Waiting for acquisitions


・You can check conditions of reserved books, request of document copies and request of borrowing books.

Materials on loan from the library


・You can check materials on loan from the library and the return dates.
・You can extend the return date 3 times, only as for the case the materials are not on reservation, before the date.

My folders


・You can keep information of materials searched by OPAC, and refer to them later. You can bookmark the materials searched by OPAC, and register it my folders (You choose “my folder” from “lists of bookmark”). Bookmarks will be erased if erase when you log out of my library, but you can browse anytime when you log on to My Library.

Request- document copies, borrowing books
 ・You can request of document copies and request of borrowing books.
 ・Please look at Service of document copies and sending books.
 ・You check out “Materials on loan from the library” and see conditions of request.

Request- buying books (Only teachers)
 ・Teachers can request of buying books.
 ・Teachers check out “Materials on loan from the library” and see conditions of request.

Setting change- e-mail address
 ・When you change your e-mail address, you can change your e-mail address yourself, that you registered with
  my library.

Reservation


・You click “reservation button” at OPAC and you can reserve materials on loan
・You can check and cancel materials you reserve at “materials waiting to acquisition”.

Notices by E-mail


Library’s notices are sent by e-mail to your address which registered my library.
Ex)
 ・when reserved materials are available.
 ・when ordered materials are available.
 ・when you have overdue materials.
 ・when you select “send by mail” at list of bookmarks.
   ※ If you change your e-mail address without taking change procedures, you can’t receive library’s service.
     So please take change procedures at My Library or service desk.
   ※ Please change settings to receive following e-mail domain.

Logout


After you use my library, you click “logout button”.
!Don’t forget to logout. If you login PC, which large numbers of the general public use, there is risk that anyone looks at your materials on loan and so on.

For students and staff, the library hold guidance to effectively use the electronic material and the library material.

Book request by students


About request


・Akita university students are only people to request books.(There is the occasion we can’t buy requested books because of the budget.)
・Materials meet as follows requirements to be object.
  Central or Medical Library aren’t own requested materials.(Except journals)
  Academic materials use for one’s study. Medical library will buy academic materials a field of medical or related
  to medical.
  Paperbacks, other low-priced books are not covered by request.

・It will take two week to one month that requested book can be lend.When you want a foreign book that weren’t stock in japan, it takes more than one month.
 If it is at the end of the fiscal year, for the budget execution reasons, it will take about two month.If you need the
 material quickly, please use interlibrary loan.

Books selection students


We also invite “Book selection students” , it differs from book request system.
Book selection students will choose specific theme or field books by group.
Please check there if you want to know details.

Room reservation


You can reserve Group study room(4 rooms),Study single room,(5 rooms),audiovisual room, and conference room in Central library.
And also you can reserve Group study room(2 rooms) ,Study single room, and conference room in Medical library.
You can make a reservation until next month. As a rule , the upper limit is two hours. Please reserve a room fitting your purpose and the number of people.
