Event report:"Roundtable Discussion between Students and Library Directors"

On Thursday, January 25, 2024, a"Roundtable Discussion between Students and Library Directors" was held in the training room on the second floor of the Central Library. Last year and the year before, it was held in the form of a questionnaire to prevent the spread of Covid-19, but this year it was held face-to-face for the first time in a while.
This time, a total of eight students (excluding interpreter students), two from each faculty, participated and exchanged opinions with Library Director Hiroshi Yamamoto, Medical Library Branch Director Yasukazu Hozumi, and library staff.


During the opinion exchange, we received the following opinions and requests.
 The library should have more places to charge batteries.
 The library need to improve their learning environment, including the internet environment.
 The library must display bulletin boards and homepages in English so that international students can easily understand them.
 The library should have more materials related to my research field.
We also received frank opinions about improving the quality of library services from the perspective of students who use the library on a daily basis.
Based on the valuable opinions and requests we receive, we will strive to create a learning environment and comfortable space, as well as consider and improve our services.


At the "Roundtable Discussion between Students and Library Directors" , we exchange opinions with students about research materials, the learning environment, university library services, etc.
